David Lassman

Mr. Lassman specializes in operations, engineering and business process solutions. His practice area includes business process re-engineering, enterprise-wide quality initiatives, performance measurement systems, change management, organizational assessment, supply chain identification and development, and lean manufacturing techniques (cellular manufacturing, single-piece flow, error-proofing, visual workplace, etc.). He focuses on developing people, operating procedures and performance measurement systems that result in long-lasting cultural change as defined by continuous improvement, innovative problem solving and open communication.

Mr. Lassman has served in a range of industries, including automotive, computer test equipment, consumer glassware, metalworking, high-end custom furniture, food processing, promotional products, and electric drive transmissions.

Mr. Lassman began his career as an industrial engineer with General Motors in an engine assembly plant. After business school, he led the turnaround of numerous small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Newmarket, he was Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Axicon Technologies, where he led the team that designed, developed and produced transmissions for the Segway HT.
